So, if I understand it correctly, if the OS implements in software this fine-granular cache flushing, the speed penalty would be small, or even very small, wouldn't it?
Also, AFAIU, Linux supports either DMA with hardware cache flushing or no DMA at all, is this correct? In that case, I guess it would be possible to write a software driver to handle this lack, wouldn't it? Thanks in advance for your answers.
