christian kemp:
If you not do like Morphos submissions any more then you will add to the "submission guidlines" and let users knowing. Then you also should remain firm and tell vesalia for change banner picture.

morphos submission disappearing : Comment 8 of 54 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Christian Kemp on 06-Jul-2004 20:13 GMT | Go ahead and take as many screenshots as you like - I've never understood people's fascination with taking screenshots of websites... what do you gain by doing so? (Well, other than wasting your time.)
If you're referring to the one news submission I deleted today, here's a link to older explanation: http://www.ann.lu/detail.cgi?category=motd&file=1080166128.msg
The submission in question had a news title that wasn't useful, from what I remember the summary was more chatty than informative, and the "read more" link just lead me to anonymizer.com.
Also, I wish people would mail me with this kind of thing, rather than causing more trouble on the front page. I certainly don't have any problem with the efforts of the individuals involved in MorphOS, at bPlan, or anywhere else. MorphOS news are just as welcome on ANN as are news about AmigaOS, Amithlon, UAE, or any other solution that's linked to the original "classic" AmigaOS in one way or another.
My misfortunes with Genesi are entirely unrelated to how I moderate MorphOS news.
I also wish people would stop their attempts of making me a puppet of their red vs. blue "war" - it seems that every few weeks, someone from one side accuses me of favouring the other. So what am I, pro-Amiga, or pro-MorphOS? Or maybe I'm quite happy with Windows 2000, don't see any reason to give up neither my current software nor hardware to return to the Amiga scene; and am just moderating away news items on ANN that fall below a certain quality/usefulness threshold, regardless of topic. (And I must add that in recent months, Christophe has done the large majority of news moderations, for which I am incredibly grateful. Also note that I rarely, if ever, object with any of his moderation decisions, because they are based on the same idea as mine: to keep up a certain quality level in news submissions, even if it's often being dragged down by some individuals and their actions and we don't have the time to exercise as much editorial control as would be required). |
