Maniac Mansion for 71 Euro ($90 US) : Comment 3 of 3 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Neko on 07-Jul-2004 20:09 GMT | In reply to Comment 2 (ehaines): Loads of people DID buy Maniac Mansion. LucasArts were one of the *LAST*
companies to drop the Amiga (they were porting X-Wing vs. Tie-Fighter and
never completed it..)
The reason Amiga games like this sell for so much is because it's rare to find
one in such good condition - look at the pic, and there is barely a frayed edge
on the box! Plus if it works and has the codewheel (nearly always lost..) then
it is truly an exceptional find.
I myself have plenty of original games I could sell on eBay but they are in so
unacceptable a condition (torn boxes, no manuals, indeterminate floppy quality)
that they would certainly NOT garner $7 each, let alone $70.
