Aros-Exec Reports that Michael Schulz have just commited his recent changes to ata.device. As promised, this update includes basic UDMA support together with some fixes (LBA48 harddrives work now as expected, and the drive capacities up to 2^57 bytes are supported).

Posted by top on 13-Jul-2004 05:06 GMT | In reply to Comment 17 (Michal Schulz): if uae is integrated transparently, when you launch an app it will be great to not open a WB screen for each 68k AmigaOS app. It will be great to see Amiga software be launched as they are in AmigaOS4 and Morphos, fully integrated in the user interface.
AROS can be a solution to run AmigaOS apps on PC hardware with the choice to get native X86 apps.
this is great and this "AmigaOS variant" can contribute to improve the number of Amiga users by attracting PC users from Linux and windows OS in the PC market...
UAE solutions on PC like AmigaForEver/UAE are excellent, but unfortunely cannot allow developpers make native X86 apps like Amithlon and Aros. |
