Online Pegasos Sales are back!!! : Comment 42 of 157 | ANN.lu |
Posted by hooligan/dcs on 13-Jul-2004 14:39 GMT | Since this thread somehow took turn towards the demoscene, I think I'm obligated to have some words aswell.
Yes. The boards were promised, three were delivered. That is better than nothing, but still it's not what was promised (BTW, the original plan was about used Pegasos1(!) stuff, not brand new Pegasos2-mobo. This was a nice surprise from Genesi). Anyway you look at it, it's a whole lot more than any of the zero t-shirts that were delivered.
Yes. They were promised long time ago, only to be pushed more and more in past months. This is unfortunate, and a bit more open attitude and explanation would have been in place. I got stuck in the middle answering questions from the demosceners and fishing answers from Genesi. Naturally I understand that there's not always private time for some drunkard scener, but still.
No. Genesi is not entitled to honor this if they don't want to. Things change, priorities change. Business is business. I hold no grudge.
But I have to add one thing.. Pegasos has been shown in television a couple times.. in various shows in many occasions. In _ALL_ these occations demos were shown. The commercial value of (hopefully/maybe) forthcoming MorphOS-demos is nothing to be taken lightly for.
I really hope the rest of the boards will be delivered someday... I'm just worried about how enthuastic those people will be after so long wait. Nothing lasts forever, you know. |
