IBM has put much effort in bringing JDK 1.4+ to its pSeries servers but for developers using LinuxPPC on desktops things are not as easy. Nevertheless, important java platform components like J2EE or platform-native versions of Java3D, JAI, JMF remain either unsupported or stuck in old versions. |
