That's a big passive heatsink compared to the one the G3/600 CPU card has, and also a huge one compared to the one the G4 card has without the fan. :) BTW, of course it requires good air-flow in the house, as every passive cooler, but that's no problem in my case. You can touch the cooler, as long as you want, it will not burn your hands, and this was in the hottest summer... So i'm pretty sure my CPU will not burn down, at least not because of this. :) Also, believe me, it's not a coincidence that the CPU card has mounting holes for a standard northbridge cooler... |
