Due to censorship by Argo the thread is locked but it is interesting to see a major Anti Amiga Inc webmaster turn in to a Genesi attacker and a certain website defender.

Interesting thread on Amiga.org : Comment 155 of 382 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Darrin on 07-Sep-2004 04:01 GMT | My god, it's so nice to see the same old zombies crawling out of the dirt to maintain their constant vendetta against Amiga Inc/Hyperion/Eyetech, their supporters or anyone who bothers to say anything positive about OS4/AmigaOne.
I really like logic of slamming a site that they "don't visit" because it constantly "moderates" them. How can you be moderated by I site you don't visit? Strange...
Anyway, nobody wins any prizes for guessing what camp I'm in. However, I don't find it necessary to visit Pegasos/MorphOS sites to lecture its visitors on what machine or OS they should use and then insult them if they don't agree with me. In fact, the only time I visit these sites is to follow links for more information on an interesting subject.
It pretty sad to see these Uber-Trolls try and justify their actions on Amigaworld.net (or ANN).
While waiting for a functional AmigaOne and OS4 release, I have been tempted several times to purchase a Pegasos just to play with MorphOS. So what has put be off? Rumours of hardware problems? No. Rumours of OS problems? No. Bill Buck? No. What stopped me was people like KennyR, Eva, etc. Why the hell would I want to associate myself with people like them? Well done guys. With your blinkered obsession of trying to undermine the opposition, you have successfully driven away potential customers/users. I'm sure Gensei is proud of you.
What worries me more than the actions of these pathetics losers is the fact that any "old Amigan" visiting ANN, Amiga.org, Amigaworld.net, etc would take one look at what's being posted and go straight back to his PC/Mac and never look back again. This is what Wayne was trying to say in his posting on Amiga.org. I guess we couldn't expect the people responsible for trolling to admit they are wrong and change their ways. It's far easier to band together and shoot the messenger. |
