morphos.net back to its roots : Comment 40 of 87 | ANN.lu |
Posted by gary_c on 16-Sep-2004 00:34 GMT | In reply to Comment 32 (Agima): At the risk of feeding the troll:
And so it begins...
If the Morph OS team tries to seperate itself from Genesi I guess we will relive the last few years over again, but this time 'Amiga OS' will be replaced by 'Morph OS'
And no doubt a 'Mogima' will show up to insult people and demonstrate his ignorance.
-- Bill Buck suing 'MorphOS' team, says he owns current version of 'MorphOS' and and all future devlopements.
Hmmm, is this just in advance of the court ruling on the (hypothetical) legal case between them? Can't blame a guy for being an optimist.
-- Bill Buck abuses the 'MorphOS' trademarks. I guess we will be seing the MorphOS butterfly, but in a new color or somthing so he can say it's different.
Hmm. No real-life counterpart here (or did I miss it?), so no response.
-- Bill Buck will find a new OS to promote on the PegII and the 'MorphOS' developers will see strange similarities in that new OS that could only be accounted for by stolen code by Buck.. Buck Claims, "Hey, every one knows how the API for MorphOS works. We just re-engineered it."
Trying to revive that claim again? History's already repeating itself, it seems, at least as far as popular misconceptions are concerned.
-- Buck re-hires Rich Woods to start a smear campaign against 'MorphOS' developers.
Rich Woods was always an independent guy with a grudge, never a Genesi employee, so it'd be a little tough to "re-hire" him.
-- Genesi will not remove links to MorphOS and trademarks after being asked to.
Will Genesi have a legitimate contract for MorphOS as they did/do for AmigaDE?
Good luck and best wishes to the MorphOS team. Buck plays dirty, hopefully he leave you guys alone.
Man, this gets tedious. There's only one sure thing in your post: your hate for Bill Buck. Everything else is pure troll dogma. To top it off, you don't seem to have clue one about what is driving Pegasos sales these days and what the implications of that are for the subject at hand. Your little scenario seems to have things upside down, but the pervasively clueless have only themselves to blame.
