"It is with considerable satisfaction that Hyperion Entertainment can now announce the immediate availability for download of the first Amiga OS 4.0 Developer Pre-release update for registered Amiga OS 4.0 users."
Due to the extent and scope of the improvements incorporated into the update, it comes in the form of a full ISO image (33 MB) which needs to be burned on CD-R(W) by the user and is intended to replace the original Amiga OS 4.0 Developer Pre-release CD for installation and rescue purposes.
Please note that the file as well as the resulting CD is for personal use only and may not be distributed in any form to third parties.
Registered users may also opt to order a new full CD which also contains the updated SDK and contribution section (details and terms to be announced shortly).

|In reply to Comment 80 (Olegil):|
The update when like planed, I read the documents carefully before I started, not being to proud to not read them, then I updated the firmware whit out any problems brunt it whit Make-CD using RAW image (mode 2), then brunt the OS40 ISO image on a CD, installed the new slb_nolinux, every thing worked fine, tried boot the CD, and I forgot to tell uboot to boot from CDROM so it read all my kickstart files from workbench: and not from the CD, as result the Update CD opens an unsupported videomode, so removed the CD, boot form disk and updated OS40 from workbench, it all worked like a dram, tested the USB thing and it did not work at first, so I added the line "usbctrl start" to s:startup-sequence and it worked, I'm now using USB port for mice, and it allot smoother, every thing is faster, and lots of classic games that crashed or did not work, now works or is working better. listing directory's goes allot faster, gfx is extremely fast,
!! clearly the compatibility list at intuitionbase need to wiped now, that things have improved, !!
