This is old news, but I'm mentioning just to remind myself that there is competition and that I should progress with ann/web :)Sauro writes:
Amiga.org and Haage & Partner announced today (25/02/00) that they will team up to make Amiga.org's Mitchy Resource Retriever the best possible resource directory and search engine for Amiga-related information, resources, and Web sites. Mitchy is a powerful Yahoo-like link directory with a search function that includes the number of hits for each resources, a rating system, Top 10 lists, and much more. Mitchy currently has about 1.000 entries.

|I hope you aren't intending to be a search engine and resource directory in|
addition to being a ready source of late breaking information! Let the others
do the first two. I really like your brief, abbrievated "headline--read a
little about it" format.
I check in every day to keep up with the "headlines"

I would be nothing but boasting if I didn't say that I was suprised. ANN offers a service unlike any of the other news sources available. Each individual has the option to make comments on particular topics, software, and announcements. I wouldn't really say competition, but more so offering something unique for the individual. Keep up the excellent work CK, I don't know what I would ever do without ANN.
