Elaborate Bytes? : Comment 2 of 4 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Ralph on 16-Mar-2000 23:00 GMT | As they state:
"Our last Amiga software product was "IDE-max '97", the successor of CacheCDFS and IDE-max."
(don't know, why they call it IDE-max instead of IDE-fix)
on their homepage, it seems as if they indeed stopped developing for Amiga.
IDEfix '97 was integrated in OS 3.5, AFAIK there has not been any significant change
to the Aminet distribution.
Thank God Jay did not have to see how Amiga went down slowly over all the years.
OTOH he would perhaps have been proud of how long people were (and still ARE) fascinated
by this wonderful machine :-)
btw: Did anyone ever interview some of the other guys that formed the team in the very
beginning? Dale Luck, RJ Mical and others? Wonder what they do today and how they'd comment
on the actual Amiga situation (presumed they still care). |

I can't remember where I got this address from - either ANN or MooBunny most probably.
Hopefully, the OS3.5 team can freely amend the code that is distributed with the OS.

Elaborate Bytes? : Comment 4 of 4 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Rick Pezzimenti on 16-Mar-2000 23:00 GMT | Just popped over to Czech Amiga News, and it appears that Elaborate Bytes have not left
the Amiga. They just removed all their Amiga pages due to the threat of legal action
from another company that has the rights to IDE-fix. Which also explains why it is now |
