Actually, the file is not an update. No earlier version is needed to install.
It's the full thing and can work, under limitations, without registration and
the key. I know I'm arguing symantics, but hey, that's what I live for. :)

Buy AWeb-2 3.3, it may be a bit ugly but it's MUCH more stable and works better than IBrowse especially when using JavaScripts.

I was desperatley hoping this one would be more stable, but i gave it
a good test drive last night and it crashed seven times. (Thats on a
standard workbench with no hacks btw.) I dont know whether its just my
mig or what.. anyone else have this problem?? Or even better.. a
solution? :)
Javascript seems to be improved a bit though.. i almost managed to get
the online ordering page at white knight to work ;)

Seems stable to me, and I'm NOT using a standard OS........
I wanted to buy Voyager 3, but I cant order it online (no credit-card here..)
And my local Amiga store says that Netconnect 3 isn't available yet ! So says H&P...
So I bought 2.1 and downloaded 2.2.....
Still will buy V3 when its available.

I personally prefer Ibrowse over Aweb. IMO the interface is nicer and it works
fine for me. I downloaded it as soon as it was posted on ANN and have yet to
have a single crash or anything, and i have several hacks and stuff installed.
It must be a problem with the rest of your systems.

Of course NetConnect 3 is available, it's been available since last October and Haage & Partner are the worldwide distributors, so they certainly should not have said 'it's not available yet!' :)

I use Octopus (yes, I know it wipes files, but I've fixed that).
Like you, I found IB2.2 crashed -- less than IB2.1, but still crashed.
Suddenly I had a brainwave and I /MAY/ have found part of my problem.
This is that OctoBloodyPus has a "Stack" setting for each program
it launches. And it defaults to 8192. Of course, IB2.2 has a stack setting also,
both in the .info file and in the preferences menu. I suspect, though,
that the Octopus stack setting overrulled the others.
I have today been online for two quite 'heavy' sessions with IB2.2
using a 65535 stack setting in Octopus, and it performed flawlessly.
Good news or coincidence, I know not. Time will tell.
