Good to hear from the rumour mill again, but i wonder why he didn't want to discuss the raffle? Speaking of which, does anybody know who won the Dev box???

In reply to Comment 1 (Rick Pezzimenti):
I read that the raffle was done poorly. John was just being polite by not commenting.
By the way, is it true that someone bought a ton of raffle tix and won most of the prizes?
If so, I guess it wasn't a bad strategy due to the attendance level.

In reply to Comment 1 (Rick Pezzimenti):
Oh yeah, you should have seen it. One guy purchased 500 tickets (happens to be the same guy who did last year and the year before that). My guess is that he really wanted that dev system so that he could sell it like the rest of the stuff that he put up on EBay. Makes me wonder if he will do it AGAIN next year?
Of course he will.

A couple of things from Squids review of the show stand out.
Fleecy taking the time to do the personal demo is impressive. Let those who say Amiga Inc does not care about the community read this and tremble!
His comments on Tao are the closest to an "up close and personal" review I've seen, and also among the most encouraging. That's a pleasant combo.
Squids vision of QNX/Taos/PPC/68k fitting together in a functional, flexible paradigm, is one of those things that strikes me as sounding almost too good to be true. ButI hope it evoles that way! Wouldn't it be loverly?
Overall, a good read and a spirit-lifter!

No better place than here to mention that Moo Bunny is DOWN.
What happens is this: the hosting provider doesn't consistently enforce quotas. It's all too happy to let us get (and stay) way over quota for months. Then, without warning, they reactivate our quota and Moo Bunny gets the ceiling dropped on its head.

In reply to Comment 5 (John Shepard):
Can we help out? We could have a "save the Moo Bunny" day. A lot of people use the Moo Bunny If we all chip in maybe we can help save it.

In reply to Comment 6 (FireFlares):
To reenable Moo Bunny as it stands (to bring our 170MB site down to the 70MB quota they sat quietly and watched us go right past), I would have to download about 15,000 messages, file by file, by FTP on a modem - using a Mac FTP client on that suspiciously unstable Mac hard drive of mine. Needless to say we are working to try to get Dreamhost to lift that quota (to make it say "none" LIKE IT DID THURSDAY) long enough for me to tar-and-gzip 1000 messages at a time into easily downloadable blocks.
