Recently, AROS announced that they managed to port DOpus in "a couple of hours". Apparently, they also talked to Amiga, but every lawyer asked until now strongly suggested to proceed with extreme care. Finally, there may be a possibility for people to work on AROS, in Switzerland, fulltime and get paid at least 45.000€ (46875$) per year. Details are on aros.org.

I'm glad to see a port of Dopus on Aros. I use a lot this programm in
my miggy. I d like to see more programmers to free their code so that
could be ported to Aros. I think Aros is the solution if everything
goes wrong.
Cheers! Dagon

In reply to Comment 1 (Dagon):
It's also a very good solution even if things don't go wrong :-)
Having an open-source, AmigaOS-compatible OS provides an important choice. Linux provides a similar role, and yet hasn't really caused harm to more commercially-oriented offerings like Solaris, AIX, HP-UX and IRIX.
Extremely good to see AROS jobs turning up, and to watch AROS move up another gear.
