Jim Ross writes: I have heard a few rumours that the Bars and Pipes Software and other Blue Ribbon Software shall be available on the Amiga University web site. Kevin Orme added in the comments section: Amiga University will soon be taking over the information, software and utilities currently now seen at the original site, however, you can still download the software, etc.

I used to LOVE bars&Pipes, it was so revolutionary in its way of non-destructive tools

Hi All:
Todor Fay and the rest of the brilliant Blue Ribbon Software gang work for Microsoft now. BRS was bought up by Microsoft in it's entirety, IIRC, and folded into the main company. They released all their Amiga products as freeware at the time they joined Microsoft, a very nice gesture IMHO. Very good people!

Are you in contact with them and will they allow for someone to have access to the code to update it?
This program was brilliant for its features but a small gui update to bring it in line with the latest amiga os would really make it.

If we can get source code, I'll put it up there with the rest of the stuff on AmigaU, and we can then manage an update too! At that point we'll want to hit up COSA as well, I'm sure they'd be interested in being involved. :)

Why "used to love" B&P?
You can use it on UAE even if you don't still have an Amiga. It's
free. Docs are on line.
