Cybes sent a mail to AsimWare and received a reply from Greg Scott saying that AsimCDFS is discontinued and they are still debating MasterISO.

Well, with OS 3.5 having its own CDFileSystem, who still wants AsimCDFS anyway?

This is sad. Companies are dropping out left and right. Hopefully, they'll consider releasing the software to the public - maybe even open source the code - before it disappears into obscurity.
In response to comment #1, AsimCDFS provides many features that 3.5's CDFS does not.

In reply to Comment 2 (Scott Konowal):
It was stated on the AsimCDFS mailing list:
"Due to many legal ramifications, the source code will not be publicly released under any sort of license."
Or something to that nature.

In my opinion, AsimCDFS is probably the best CD file system existing
for the Amiga in many regards. But with other good and FREE
alternatives around, I'm not surprised they don't get a lot of revenue
considering the imo extremely high price of AsimCDFS. Sad. :/

I prefer AsimCDFS over OS 3.5's CD FileSystem. Besides, the CDFS that comes with
OS 3.5 does not support reading Audio Disk tracks like they were normal files.
AsimCDFS does. There may be something simular PD or Shareware...
AsimCDFS is/was a great product. Pricey...but Good!
MasterISO..It's very good for making Data CDs but lacks a lot for making Audio CDs.

Because AsimCDFS is the best CDFS around. Try it out, it's cool.

Well, when was the last time they ctually got some revenue for it. I really think that package was one of the best utils I'd ever bought for the Amiga. Sad to see it die. Maybe the new Amiga could offer to buy the distribution license for it and put some effort into upgrading it. Not that it lacks anything I can think of.
No hard feelgs, Greg (Scott & company) and thanks for many years of excellent service!

Way too bad, I've been a satisfied regged user for years :(
Imho their CDFS was superiour to most others.
I also hope they release the source code under GNU
