Amiga on Slashdot : Comment 1 of 3 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Michael Jantzen on 05-Aug-2000 22:00 GMT | I think the reason why it has recieved such nice review on Slashdot is because as my brother put it (and he doesn't work with Amigas): Unlike the first few goes at PR this is the most coherant review of what Amiga Inc. is doing. It actually interested him in getting the SDK and developing software for it (as he does for Linux currently)

Amiga on Slashdot : Comment 2 of 3 | ANN.lu |
Posted by One on 05-Aug-2000 22:00 GMT | Sure, Slashdot was a nice idea for its time, but come on, we're
in 2000 now... why not just let it die in peace?
And of course I know what I'm talking about: I visited Slashdot
once, for a whole 10 minutes, in 1997...

Amiga on Slashdot : Comment 3 of 3 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Jan Maack Kjerbye on 06-Aug-2000 22:00 GMT | Let the flamers die in their own putrid gasses... Personally I´m very exitec about the PEOPLE behind the AmiE (Ami) (whatever it will be called).
Mature, idealistic people with a sense of humor who actually has a concept of "Amigaism" built into their business-plans. I think I´ll love the product EVEN if it doesnt end up quite as State of the Art (great demo b.t.w.) as they are planning!!
Most of my best friends are still using Amigas and I´ve always loved the mixed Amiga community. (Not only proud hacker-geeks like the ones that shout out loudest in the linux-world... IMHO that is)
I´m really glad to see Dave Haynie also reads Amiga news b.t.w.

I hope this could imply that the "Ole Hardware Gurus" are getting into the miggy again.. (Joe Torre with the BoXer, Dean Brown with Amiga Inc., and Haynie reading news on the web with the Amiga label :o)
Well.. thats just my naive view on things ;o) Maybe i had to much coffe today... But then again.. Is that possible?? |
