Czech Amiga News reports: According to Maciek Binek from Elbox, distribution of the first MEDIATOR PCI cards should begin 15.-16.8.2000. The most important part for every potential buyer - drivers - will be delivered immediately with the first cards. Others will be available later from internet. Elbox hope that there will be available appropriate drivers for sound cards beside drivers for graphics cards at the release date. Drivers for network cards, modems, ISDN and MPEG-2 decoders will follow.

Yahoo!!!
Finally.....I'll just deinstall cgfx and install picasso96..... I want voodoo.....
BTW the cgfx team didn't answer a single question of me yet about if they will do any other drivers then one for a outdated and very slow virge.....

Well - i`m eagerly waiting for the first reports about the experiences with this board.
If Elbox then is able to supply some decent driver for various hardware and deliver a daughterboard
replacement for the BigBox Amigas within short time for a reasonable price i`m pretty sure i`ll
try it out on my system - unless DCE will finish their PCI-project for the PowerUP earlier.
Quite funny that there still is some kind of competition in the still shrinking little Amiga market... :-)

In reply to Comment 1 (Amifan):
You don't have to deinstall CGFX. There will also be drivers for CGFX for VooDoo 3 and 5. Besides, why take out your BVision. Just get yourself a cheap 15 inch and you can use that video card too. Great two monitors.

Well,if you think about it,you could run 3 separate monitors---aga,bvision,PCI card...hmmmm...... :)

Does CGFX support dual (or more) monitors?

I just want to know if the drivers written for mediator pci will work with that
DCE pci-board? I'm sure people wan't hardware which has good range of drivers too..

Under cgfx I had at the same time:
Cybervision 64
Cybervision 64 3D
Cybervision PPC
picasso 4
AGA
It was working perfectly. The only thing you need is space for monitors ;)
I'am still wondering what about a PCI card for big boxes Amiga.
I have several cards like picasso4,paloma, vlab YC, vlab motion, fastlane Z3, toccata.
I know that there will be faster GFX card on PCI but I will lost flicker fixer of the PIV, and even if we have a driver for video capture and sound cards it won't work with Movieshop. Perhaps an AHI driver and a vlabmotion emul can save me but there are not so much chances that it happens.
Whe should suggest to have some Z3 slots on the A3/4000 version (like on mikronic 7 zorro 3 daughter boards)
