That's right folks, there's a new executive update at amiga.com, dated September 28th.

Actually, the very latest executive update can always be found at:

;)
Yeah, yeah, I'm sorry - I do have confidence and hope in Amiga's plans. But DO load the above URL - it's absolutely hilarious.

Finally a new executive update.....even though it doesn't give us much details (as I would like:0) it is nice to hear there are some progress being made.
Bill states in the beginning (and point 3) that they are in talks with some Californian OEM's and that "With working with these OEM's we will be able to add several million more Amigans" If this becomes reality it will mean that our userbase will grow to be bigger than (maybe) ever. This will really mean something to the software companies out there and I look forward to see lots of new games and programs for the new platform.
About the AmigaOne....It looks like they have payed a great deal of attention to us, the current Amiga users and it will be very exiting to see what they will come up with...can't wait till the announcement will be made, hurry up!
while waiting for the A1, I think i will have to buy the new winblows SDK (Linux is to un-friendly to me:-) even though I don't have a clue about programing, I just have to get a look at it!
Anyway I think we have a bright future waiting ahead.
best regards
Troels

Sounds like some good news to me as well, but we'll just have to wait and see. My hope is to see Amie on the Playstation 2. Talk about boosting userbase.

In reply to Comment 2 (Troels Ersking):
Don`t take Bill too serious when it comes to terms like "add several million Amigans".
Americans always talk this big - it is simply their normal business behaviour.
Maybe he is in talks/negotiations with some Californian Company - everything else is
pure marketing speech.
Before i get flamed: I do know that the computer market often demands such behaviour... :-(

He's not kidding. He's very serious.

Puts me in mind of his interview a few months ago on TV where he claimed that the number of existing Amiga users was several million (widely accepted as being 1 or 2 orders of magnitude bigger than the truth, if not more).
I wonder if he is using the same McEwan-million numbering scheme?

In reply to Comment 6 (Anonymous):
That was a simple misstatement. The figures he is uttering here are potentially very real. Once you start adding up the total markets we are aimed at over and above the AmigaONE then the scale gets more obvious.

In reply to Comment 7 (Coz):
Supplementary question - will all of these be running Amiga's Run Time Operating System (to quita another classic example
from Mr McEwan, repeated and STILL uncorrected on the Amiga website).
