Well, the MacAddict article was somewhat humurous, if also somewhat alarming. I guess, in the world according to MacAddict, everything revolves around Cupertino. I was pleasantly suprised by the threads, though. No rants, and calm discussion regarding Amiga.

What's not to like? Relatively mainstream (at least for geeks :) media coverage, reasonably accurate reportage, a nice rehash for some/ clear explanation for others of the Amiga VP environment.... Good all around articles, just not new to us who have been slobbering in wait of real machines and applications!

In reply to Comment 2 (PaulT):
I found the following humorous:
"Desktop computer multimedia pioneer Amiga this week took a major step in the newly energized company's aggressive initiative to reestablish Amiga desktop environments as a Mac OS/9-compatible development platform. "
I would hardly term the Amiga DE a "Mac OS/9-compatible" dev platform.

Being a Commodore user since the C64 days, then to the amiga - i don't think the amiga has had this much attention since it was first released.
Why i think this is because a club i go to has lost many users over the years(since commodore went belly up),last year in fact it was only me and another guy going. But now over these few weeks loads of people have started coming back, getting there old A1200,A500 from the loft and reusing them, maybe because they are bored of the PC or they know deep down the Amiga DE will be a success and want to get back in the scene.
Anyway thats my thoughts on this subject.

Have you been on the Mac forum page?
Those mac people are ok. No "Amiga R.I.P" comments. Many positive comments about both old and new (AmigaDE). A lot of *discussion* rather than just flame - some ANN users could do with being as constructive in their posts!
But best of all, Mac users actually say "if it runs on Windows or MacOS, I'll buy Amiga DE"
