Well you can buy OS3.9, plus the SDK for Linux and Windows, so that's 3 items already, which I reckon is not too bad.

Right now you can get OS 3.9 for ten dollars cheaper at Software Hut.
But this is a pre-shipping price, and may not last too much longer.

1. Since when is $49.95 "around 40 bucks"? Amiga Inc. have a funny definition of "around". OS3.9 is going to cost me around $100.00 after shipping, exchange and taxes.
2. How is this fair to Amiga retailers? Now they are forced to compete with their supplier.

Amiga retailers are obviously getting a price break. Note the lower price mentioned in comment 5 from Software Hut (which incidently puts it down into the "40 buck" range).
