Ji YongDijkhuis conducted an interview with Paul Nolan of Photogenics fame on GraphicsBoard.com. The article is more on Linux, but it also mentions Amiga!

That stupid people ! Their flash detection doesn't even recognize Voyager as
having a flash plugin.

Try this link: http://www.graphicsboard.com/articles/article_intern1.htm
I'm not sure whether it will work in an Amiga browser. I'm sitting on a PC right now.

In reply to Comment 3 (Henrik Mikael Kristensen):
It works, flash and all. Don't see why you'd want to use flash for
something that a gifanim can do though!

Sorry guys. I'll take this up with the admin of the site.

In reply to Comment 3 (Henrik Mikael Kristensen):
That is truely pathetic! Limiting a user to not have access to their site only because you won't be able to view specific type of graphics... what about those users out there that are blind and couldn't give a rats ass about graphics and more often than not have everything graphics turned off. Whoever the admin is at that site they need to have their nose rubbed with the stench of the ADA.
Not only that, but that damn flash detection does anything but. Even on a PC through a proxy and firewall it refuses to detect flash properly.

Guys, you're not missing much. I was able to get the page with AWeb, and it
looks like it's a bunch of dark gray text on dark blue background. So even
if you can load the page, good luck reading it...
Whoever made that site is one heck of a 31337 w3b d3zIng3r.

All that stuff about having trouble running on different versions of
Linux, surely he should keep up the AmigaDE port in future and never
have to recompile?

In reply to Comment 8 (extensor@usa.net):
Use a bit of javascript. It's quite possible to do rollovers, image changes
and stuff with gifanims, javascript and a few moments thought...
.. although what should really be questioned is whether it is needed at all,
and if so why two pages, one with the flash and one without, could not be
provided. Simply using these tricks and providing no alternative is blatantly
discriminatory against the disabled (the blind in particular) or those who
prefer not to use up their bandwidth on pointless, often badly done,
animations and images.

There is no mention of Paul Nolan currently working part time for Amiga Inc, obviously not of interest to the viewers of that site in general?

It was allready hard to get this out of Paul. (about 3 weeks!!!)
I had invited Paul to mention his work on AmigaDE, but he didn't.

In reply to Comment 10 (Chris):
Well, Flash is a great application. I would love to see it on Amiga. It allows you so much more control over your graphics. Most animations can be done in a very small file size. A very sophisticated anim can look really impressive and only be 10k in size. As opposed to a similiar GIF anim which would probably be 150k or more. Flash loads much quicker than GIF anims, and do not generally require as much bandwidth as a comparable Gif anim.
