In the latest Shogo update, Hyperion pushes Warp3D beyond its current limits, by implementing features which won't be available until Warp3D release 4. These features will help adapting Warp3D to support hardware T&L, present in graphics chips such as the ATI Radeon and the NVidia Geforce 1 & 2. Read more in their Shogo update.

|I want to make it clear : though T&L is a future possibility of Warp3D, the Warp3D team has actually no plan for supporting the GeForce or the Radeon in the close future.|
The Frieden brothers explained why : lack of documentation.
Moreover this is not Hyperion who's pushing Warp3D beyond its limits, this is the result of the hard work of the Warp3D team : Sam Jordan and the Frieden bros.
I think this had to be set clear.

I also want to make one thing clear before my post is misunderstood: I mentioned Geforce and Radeon as examples of graphics chips with hardware T&L, not necessarily chips which will be supported by Warp3D, just hardware T&L in general.

What we are doing right now is the vertex arrays. This concept will later
be expanded, so that vertex arrays may be in graphics ram, and are T&L'd before
they are drawn. Right now, it's "only" a way to speed up the data throughput,
as the actual move to the graphics chip registers is done in a tight loop,
and the amount of register writes can be reduced...

Depends what type on what type of CPU you have. If you have a Cyberstorm PPC, you are definitely okay. We have found that a 200 Mhz Cyberstorm PPC is roughly equivalent to a K6-II @ 450 Mhz.
We are working on speeding up the software renderer on low end machines.

I think he means "have you produced anything lately for my 7mhz 68000 A500 with 0.5mb RAM, OCS, one floppy drive and looks good when displayed on my 12" B/W TV". :)
