Alkis Tsapanidis writes: Microcode Solutions updated their IFusion pages. It seems that IFusion doesn't run at all on Blizzard PPCs and they got a BPPC card today to short this out... There is a new screenshot too.

And if read it carefully, it says: "The BlizzardPPC card for the A1200 does not work AT ALL. We will have a board here tomorrow (02/02/2001) to determine the problem, and then we can prepare for shipping!"
It's not the IFusion that does not work, it's the BPPC card that does not work.

Hi,
It also says this on their website:
Well, we have the emulation performing flawlessly on 060/PPC systems. It does NOT work AT ALL on the BlizzardPPC card for the A1200 (040/PPC). We will
have a board here tomorrow to figure out what the problem is, and then we are ready to ship!

I was thinking the same thing. If it can perform even half as well as
the real deal, it would be worth it to me.

Hey, you'll never guess what, but the PPC board they are getting is most likely
THE board that I had in my possesion less than a week ago ;)
It`s a long story, no BS - Honest!

Really fascinating how Microcode always manages to find new excuses. I would not be surprised
if iFusion will again be released later than planned/announced because of this "feature".
Why can't they at least release the product as-is for people who own a CSPPC (some even have
this combination in their A1200 with some Zorroboard solution).
That way people could judge the quality of the product and Microcode could make some money which always
seemed to be very important to them.
IF they somewhen really make it to get the product to the consumer it might be a nice-to-have thing.
Though the way microcode behaved in the past still leaves a little doubt in me it'll really happen _and_
(more important) it will run in a usable way. If i think of PCx or the early Fusion releases...

Of course.

I agree. Then an update when they get it working on BPPC.

Like me. :)

Yep.

You don't think they learned anything from Fusion? The idea, early on, seemed
to be "we already have Fusion, adding PPC will only take a month or two." But
then again that didn't quite work out did it....

It is also pretty interesting how people diss them for testing their products and then complain when they have gotten buggy products in the past... :-) Come on, at least give them a chance to learn from previous mistakes if nothing else.
