The system is initially going to be QNX based, but AmigaDE could probably make its way on it too. They said that they were actually looking on to make MorphOS run on it too. But as the author in the article states: Make your own judgement, whether this is vapour or not. Phoenix Consortium? They are supporting it.

I was quite excited at the notion of another PowerPC system in the works, until I read the specs
- PowerPC @ 200 MHz
no PCI slots
etc
The article makes constant reference to it being an 'A500 style system', and if by that they mean a bare minimum of cpu power and severely limited expandability, they hit the nail on the head... that being said, I'm sure there are plenty of people for whom it is appropriate, but the A500 was _ahead_ of everything else, as well as being cheap... this is just, well, cheap (although a lot more if you try to upgrade it, i'm guessing..)

In reply to Comment 1 (David Shipman):
Limited expandabilty?
Well the processor and graphics will sit on a seperate expansion card, apart from that usb & firewire will allow for most other expansion options.
Processor speed is increasinlgy likely to be a G3@350Mhz.
Depending on how well this system does there will be a POP style ATX board.
Although one of the reasons we are aiming for a realitively low power system is
to increase accesibily and show what can be achieved with better software engineering.
We are open to suggestions one what people want.
