Steffen Haeuser wrote: opendivx.library has been released at www.projectmayo.com. opendivx.library is a Amiga Shared Library to replay OpenDivX Animations on the Amiga. It supports both Decoding and Encoding. The first application to support is is Moovid. A try-out version of Moovid is available also (there is a link to the Moovid page). opendivx.library supports both 68k and WarpUP Systems. On a 150 MHz PPC a 352x288 Animation replays at 16 fps, a 640x480 Animation at around 10 fps. Includes for Developers are also released.

I don't know where he gets those 15FPS from, I get 10FPS with my 603@200MHz. Softcinema is much faster, though.

In reply to Comment 1 (Mark Olsen):
I'd guess he gets the 150mhz PPC from the old Phase5 developer boards. There
were 150mhz 604 Cyberstorms for developer boards, that's what Microcode Solution
uses. BTW 604 PPC is much faster than 603 (Cyberstorm opposed to BlizzardPPC)

Hi!
Well, I got the 16 fps with a OpenDivx a friend of mine encoded in 352x288 (most
OpenDivX are 640x480 and slower because of this... he encoded 352x288 on purpose,
to make it faster !!!).
I called it with
Divx-Moovid fps 1000 noskip verbose file.avi
and got 16 fps out of it. And on the example-OpenDivX in 640x480 on the Projectmayo
site I get around 10 fps.
The Board is no Developer Board, BTW... these Boards were IN FACT sold.
150 MHz 604e, 64 Bit Memory Access, 50 MHz 060.

In reply to Comment 4 (Steffen Haeuser):
I just noted that it only uses between 50 and 60 percent CPU time on the PPC. Might be related to the low framerate :)

In reply to Comment 5 (Mark Olsen):
Hi!
Also think that Moovid is a 68k program... only the codec is PPC... but well,
if there is some room in the CPU usage: Then there is room for the Audio Decoding,
still :) As up to now there is no sound in it yet...

In reply to Comment 8 (Fabio Alemagna):
Hi!
You can get a sample at www.projectmayo.com somewhere on the site.
Or if you know someone owning a PC make him installing VirtualDub
and the OpenDivX codec for Windows, and then make him converting you
some other Videos to OpenDivX using VirtualDub.
