There have been rumours floating around for quite some time that National Amiga had bitten the dust as far as Amiga retail was concerned. Simply not true! The website has had intermittent connectivity due to a combination of site upgrades, hardware shuffles, and problems with the broadband internet provider.

The latest incarnation of the website should be up shortly at www.nationalamiga.com... at the present time it is sub-beta and still very much under development, but the contact information on the page is still the same. You see "Archtech Computers" on the banner... Arch Computer Technology has been the parent company of National Amiga for many, many years. Similarly, they've been doing multiplatform retail and service for a very long time. That hasn't changed!

yep, can attest to the fact they are alive and well, was there in early Jan. for work and stopped by - and they are fine. But yes, they are having ISP 'fun' and thus have been offline for a bit since then . .

Who cares? Seriously, National Amiga hasn't had any real Amiga stock for over a year now. Their prices are pretty bad, too. Often times their prices for used hardware is more than what it cost new! Just because they have a web site up doesn't mean they have anything Amigans want to buy! It looks like they're more interested in providing Linux server solutions than anything Amiga to me.

I have no idea where you're getting this information from, or why you feel compelled to express yourself in such an obviously inflammatory way. National Amiga most certainly does continue to move Amiga stock, where available, and has been working hard on solutions such as the Insert MK/2: PS/2 keyboard and mouse adapter for the Amiga. While stock of some products can be hard to come by in this market, where they have always excelled is with their service department. Their tech is a genius!
Where in the world do you get this stuff about them concentrating on Linux server solutions?
If you've got a beef about pricing, have you actually tried to call and talk to them about it? Did you read the "under construction" part of the website, especially with relation to the fact that many entries in the database have yet to be updated?
In an environment where Amiga support is scarce to begin with, I'm frankly surprised that anyone would go out of their way to slam a bunch of guys who have never stopped supporting the Amiga.

I hope the e-mail also gets fixed, the last few times I tried to send mail, it bounced (couldn't find nationalamiga.com).

Yes, I bought an Apnet card from Software Hut, but couldn't get it to work. Since National Amiga told me that S.H. would send it to N.A. anyway, I was told to send it directly to them for repair (replacement). Now it works, Thanks NA!

I agree National Amiga ARE the GOOD guys! I remember meeting them at the Amiga Shows in Columbus, Ohio a few years ago. They always were great on answering any tech. questions, etc!
Let us stop slaming each other as we move through these "dark" times.
