Starcraft is kinda cool...but I assume that we don't have to expect a kind of game like this from Hyperion?? :)
Anyways....why is there no screenshot of IFusion running in a workbench window?
Anyone with a PowerMAC could make those screenshots....
/me is being pathatic again, but after all those delays, excuses, barriers......

I was thinking about MacOS X. Is that completely impossible or what?

While I think that it is probably worth it, I can't help but wonder if they would sell a lot more copies, and in turn make more money, if the price was a bit lower.
I also wonder how it would do with some of the newer children's software titles. The minimum system requirements for them aren't that high. I have managed to get most of the older "Jumpstart" titles running on Shapeshifter and Fusion, but most of the new titles require PPC with a relatively low speed. Some of them (IE "Blues Clues Treasure Hunt") feature full screen FMV.
I know that probably isn't a big market, but I am sure that there are a lot of Amiga users with small kids. We have a PC for most educational software, but my 5 year old likes my old games on my 4000PPC so much that I bought him an A1200. If iFusion will run the edutainment stuff I mentioned before, his A1200 might be due for an 040/ppc/bvision upgrade at some point:)

In reply to Comment 3 (Anonymous):
I guess it is the new WarpOS that can run the AmigaDE.
I think OSX in iFusion can be possible but won't be usable at all on Blizzard/Cyberstorm. You will say it will be possible on the AmigaOne but with the AmigaOne it is possible to run OSX without emulation: Darwin is opensource. I'am also sure that it would be possible to have it on the bplan pegasos. If Ralph Schmidt was not 100 % busy on MorphOS he would at least have a look at it. Nextmail Welcome ;)
There will be very good port projects for the developers: MACOSX, LinuxPPC, FreeBSD ...
MACOSX can be a very good argument to stop to jump and sink in the wintel world.
But this is not info: This is just my guess ...

about it please

In reply to Comment 4 (Henrik Mikael Kristensen):
Mac OS X won't work over iFusion - it has specific hardware requirements. Hell, it won't even work on the first revision PowerBook G3 and will have problems with the Beige G3 :-/
Besides (trust me on this!), you need a G4 and 256MB of RAM to use Mac OS X succesfully. I have the release candidate installed (received yesterday) and even on a DP G4 resizing the Finder window is sloooooow.
Mark.

In reply to Comment 9 (Mark Smith):
The OSX public release won't install on something else then a G3/G4 Macintosh. But with a modified kernel (Darwin) it can run on any PPC hardware. There are already some kernel recompiled for 604 cpu that run OSX so with some work it can run on AmigaOne / Pegasos / Anything. However I won't recommand the blizzard / cyberstorm because of low memory capacity.

In reply to Comment 4 (Henrik Mikael Kristensen):
MacOS X is only possible on Apple PowerMacs, not even on IBM PPCs.
Also, you can only run MacOS X on a G3 and G4 and not lower spec. so we'll
have to wait for the faster CPUs to arrive soon.

In reply to Comment 10 (Christophe Decanini):
OK, does that mean that the Darwin kernel could run on its own like
Linux on the machine or would it still require IFusion?
I would assume it's onoly a matter of time before most important
Mac programs are OS X only.

In reply to Comment 14 (Henrik Mikael Kristensen):
It *could* run like linuxppc is running on PPC Amiga. This does not mean it will soon. So please do not cancel your ifusion order just because I said it could be possible. Most of the Mac softwares are not OSX version, newer softwares (based on carbon) will support OS 8.6 .. OS 9.1 so IFusion is THE solution to get access to thousands of Macintosh PPC applications. The OSX only application will be based on COCOA. There are only a few applications that came from Next.

Please visit www.Macromedia.com, there you will find the demos to all thier products plus many helpful tutorials. Dreamweaver is an EXCELLENT PROGRAM and Fireworks four is way over the top as well. It would really be cool if the New Amiga DE had such quality Software comming, but I doubt it unless everyones floods Macromedia with requests for it.

As iFusion is an iMac emulator and as Imac uses G3 as main proccessor unit, it's possible for iFusion to run MacOsX.
Maybe not from the first releases but with some updates and patches after the initial release.
Lets hope with these updates we will have a working blizzppc version as well.

Hi!
Believe me - a Starcraft license would be too expensive. Actually the game
is one of my favourite games, but this does not change the fact that
it would be wayyyys too expensive to license :(
