I'm not really debating that plastic is prone to static, but which Macs were NOT in plastic cases? I know the compacts were and the the iMac and G4 cube is. How about the B&W and the new G4 towers?
I think this is a funny project. I got a good laugh. Anyone ever try to put an Amiga in one of those old chrome four-slice toater cases? :)

well, plastic computers usually have a metallic frame that is connected to the ground through the power cable. From what I can see from that hoover-Mac, the system is isolated.
