Going OT, but ... i had that problem, too.
I posted a message in the AmigaOS 3.9 mailinglist with
the build-in editor of IBrowse (old version).
At that time it was hosted by egroups.com and the preview
looked o.k.,
but it was saved as a continuous stream of characters,
ignoring all my "return"-codes.
Perhaps it is that problem with different interpreting
of LF/CR-Codes of PC/Amiga.

In reply to Comment 4 (Muffin):
Perhaps it was cancelled due
to the fact that needed Warp3D V4
isn`t yet officially released.
Since Shogo needs Warp3D V4,
they then had to supply Warp3D V4
within the demo, but are not
allowed/willing to and therefore the demo
would be useless.

Hi,
the demo will appear on Aminet and you will have a link from our Website (we can't post the demo directly on our Website, because it would be a "too much connections" alert from our provider.
Don't worry for Warp3DV4, you'll have it in the same time as Shogo.

I'm over half with downloading and allready have Warp3D 4 in. As I understood, Warp3D 4 is a lot faster for BlizzardPPC IF programs use it. They said there will be a recompile for Heretic II.
So now I wonder when there will be a new version of Quake for Warp3D. Soon I hope, the guy hasen't done much to it over the last year.

I get a machine freeze once the Shogo launcher GUI opens. Can't think
what could be wrong? The wizard.library is latest version. The GUI
window looks odd, light grey areas have blocks of shaded pattern in
them (same pattern as used for disabled gadgets).
Help - I don't know where to start in getting the demo working.
Also the html documentation icons don't work with Voyager 3 :-/

It's something with paula sound...
open a sound player first playing a song lt's say Prayer (no ahi, direct sound)
and then start the launcher.
when the launcher starts stop and close the sound player.
Then you can continue as normal.

Change the audio engine to the DMA one and be sure that nothing uses paula at all.
Also be sure that disable audio is not not ticked in the advanced page.
If you still can't get any audio, contact me in person (dial@otenet.gr) and I'll try to help.

Check your sound datatype. I've had reports that there are problems with the sample and some sound datatypes (can't handle stereo samples)...
You might want to move the Shogo.snd to somewhere else, the launcher shouldn't play it when there is no sample file.
> Also the html documentation icons don't work with Voyager 3
Sorry, I only had a demo of some 2.x version. Erase the ShogoDemo/Browser variable, and click on "Let me choose", then select the browser in the file select window and enter the correct command line after the 'V' file name...
About those sound problems, the DMA sound uses Audio device to allocate channels, so there might be something locking the sound. It could also be related to some of the sound datatypes around, I noticed that some of them don't terminate correctly... Removing the "shogo.snd" file should help.
Regards, Hans-Joerg.

You use an old version of V³ I guess. The html file works fine
with the current V³ beta (3.3.95) here.

The freeze from the launcher app was cyberguard not opening to show
the hits. Hmm, anyway it worked after a reboot (again) and showed the
hits. Am using sound.datatype v41.8, maybe it is this. I haven't had
anything else playing sound before starting the launcher.

How come such a possibly simple thing never appeared during beta
testing though?? :-/
<BR><BR>
On my A1200/060/240/Bvision the gameengine is quite impressive on
medium detail and a reasonable resolution. Great work, not sure if
its my sorta game... look forward to trying Heretic2 with the new
VArray code though - that game I would buy! :o)

Actually it's me to blame......
I found it out 3 days ago when I got a friend's machine.
I solved it by running anything that uses paula before running the launcher
