In reply to Comment 1 (Andrea):
They have.. and he thinks it looks great.
To truly appreciate the Amiga website you should NEVER visit it sober. Always make sure you are either high on weed or you have drunk at least 10 cans of wicked-strength beer. It works for me and I love the swirling, glowing, dazzling effects the pages produce. :)

How true, Amiga Inc's website sucks big time and is very bad for publicity.
Hey, I'll even make one for them for free if they cannot pay for a decent one.

In reply to Comment 2 (Darrin):
Professional webmaster can most often be used as synonym for "clueless"
They should hire a person who grasps the basic concepts of world wide web,
wether he/she is professional or not is irrelevant, the person will become
professional when hired.
All this babbling about the importance of dealing with "content" and then not
being able to provide their own "content" properly I find mostly amusing :)

In reply to Comment 6 (Kolbjørn Barmen):
I think it's a lot better than the sites of most big companies. The
front page is mostly text, there is no Flash intro, and Javascript is
kept to a minimum. So it loads quite fast.
I could live without all the red stuff.
To see a bad site, look at http://www.sonyclassical.co.uk
- all Flash and no content whatever. This from the top international
multimedia company.

In reply to Comment 7 (Don Cox):
I mostly agree. Simplicity, speed and rich content is what Amiga has always proclaimed. I 'd rather see more consistency and robustness than lame flash intros and poorly implemented javascript.

In reply to Comment 8 (sutro):
It should _at least_ look ok in the browser they ship along with their OS.
It currently doesnt, that 222 pixel wide invisible cell to the right takes
care of that.

A web site doesn't NEED Flash to be Good. I'm assuming you're talking about the plug-in.

Something that I *DO* find _SAD_ is that the web page does Not display correctly with AWeb. :( I'd think that All of Amigas pages Would reflect correctly with Our browsers as well as the "other" platforms.

In reply to Comment 12 (Kolbjørn Brmen):
Kolla, before you criticise other peoples sites perhaps
you should do something about that awful background on yours.
a 1x3 pixel image does NOT make a good background :) Especially
when it has transparency! :)
hehe
