Solar (BAUD) wrote: I thought seeing Steve Balmer hopping around like a madman already said it all, but this one tops it off... Sheesh, I feel sick... ;-) I tend to agree. The expression on his face is scary, to say the least.

All I can say is thank the IT support that I don't have a soundcard in this machine ;)
BTW, where's the Balmer hopping around like a madman vid?

It´s here: http://www.kicken.com/funnyfiles/www.kicken.com-microsoft.mpg
I thought Bill McEwen with his sometimes strange kind of humor, or the Merlancia CEO were somewhat strange, but this beats it all...

This Steve Balmer guy obviously needs some serious help. But what worries me even
more is the fact that a lot of people actually came to watch this. Hopefully they
just went there to have a good laugh.

This is a seriously delecate PR ploy catered by the internal media group at MS to be released on purpose. The hopping and screaming like a child is to make a person laugh at such the retched scum but me thinks lemons taste sweet if this were the case. The crued attempt to draw more market interest from this is particularly bad. While MS has the global media by their balls they had no way of connecting with any of the core users without the MS shareholders going bezerk. Not only is this file being thrown around the Linux community but also the Windows cliche as well. While the famed "All your base" demo may not have been an advertisement this illistration of a famous flustered monkeyboy definately is.
Microsoft will fall.

No - I think the fact of the matter is how many people can you name in the Linux community? (Er... Linus?)
The same applies to the developer community - most people (in a certain development sector) seem to know who Don Box is...
Especially when he sits in a bath tub to do his conference speech at TechEd...

I think the Comedy channel should hack their signal and make fun of them non-stop--just like the presidential debates they did. : )
Worth lots of laughs.

I've just figured something out. M$ are doing this in order to plead insanity
in all the anti trust cases against them (and the ones which will follow after the
release of XP).

Didja notice they're keeping him behind one of those electric fences
used for keeping cows and sheep from getting out. They also use them
at zoos sometimes to keep larger more dangerous animals from getting
out of hand. Still, it doesn't make me feel much safer about this guy.
Look at the hate in those eyes... Definately belongs behind bars...

They should put this on prime time TV..with a big warning saying this is how you turn out if you use too many Microsoft products (too manybigger than zero)
Also, hasn`t this guy ever heard of anti-perspirant?

the sound information is missing or damaged. Any hints?

He might be a complete jerk, but he´s also CEO of the most powerful IT company in the world. This man can push IT in any direction he wants.
I´m not so much scared about the fact that there´s some people completely crazy (obviously). It´s the fact that they have so much power. Look at his face in the "developers" clip, when he shakes his fist. This guy *loves* his power. He *loves* to crush the competition. He *loves* to play foul. He *loves* being "evil".
And he has the power, and nobody can stop them.
I am very afraid of what the future of IT might look like. Microsoft is just a mustard grain short of a position where they can make competition of *any* kind just plain impossible. That VP stuff, the whole idea of AmigaDE / AmigaOS etc. might be excellent, but I am afraid that Microsoft simply doesn´t allow for competition anymore.
And dear Mr. President isn´t in a mood to break them up or put them under control, because as long as "his" USA is number one in the world, the world is fine for him.
:-(

In reply to Comment 24 (Solar (BAUD)):
Only the EU Commission can save us from Microsoft monopoly now.
Bear in mind however, that even in the US Microsoft was judged to have an illegal monopomy and that only the part of the remedies needs to be decided upon again by a Judge.
