Tao and Amiga open a Zaurus development portal : Comment 1 of 17 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Sam Smith on 11-Dec-2001 11:21 GMT | Is this actually an official 'Sharp' page? Is this the first time that Sharp has officially linked to an Amiga Inc. site? Fantastic news if it's true. |

Tao and Amiga open a Zaurus development portal : Comment 2 of 17 | ANN.lu |
Posted by adam ceremuga on 11-Dec-2001 11:46 GMT | looks like there is no difference between intent and DE atm.
but that is not a bad thing. it looks like tao is letting amiga handle looking after grassroots developers for intent platform, and hopefully any improvements made while developing DE further will be incorporated back into intent..
btw congrats to the amiga inc webmaster ray, he seems to be doing a real good job... |

Posted by tinman on 11-Dec-2001 14:50 GMT | In reply to Comment 4 (Elwood): Yowsers! Although without the warning, it could have lead to unsuspecting customers complaining about "intent ate my (boing) balls!" :)
I agree, it's pretty off-putting. And people don't want hassle with these PDA things, they just want to use them. |

Yes, this is officially linked to from the developer section of sharp's website (developer.sharpsec.com). Snippet from the main page of the Sharp Developer Site:
December 10, 2001
Our R&D Lab started intent Download for those who willing to evaluate the intent.
I ordered my Zaurus today! ;-)
Soon I'll be running DE software on a cool new device! :-)
All the best..

Except he is fond of those ugly gif animations. I can take a boing ball, but not one that is spinning. :)
I do hope this intent thing makes it. |

Posted by amigammc on 11-Dec-2001 21:04 GMT | In reply to Comment 6 (Anonymous): There was an Amiga logo in the original version, I suggested to Gary to have it removed because it was conflicting with the look of the page and its simmetry. They did a nice job. Simple and readable. |

ho-hum.. more bitching and moaning about website graphics. Do you ever do anything else but bitch and moan?? Wait, don't answer, I know the reply.
Anyways..
"he" (which is me) did not pick the graphics nor the animations used in this site. All the graphics were chosen by higher ups in Amiga Inc. |

Posted by Darrin on 12-Dec-2001 12:13 GMT | In reply to Comment 12 (Ray A. Akey): I may be totally out of line here, and in a minority... but don't think the Amiga Inc website is THAT bad.
I mean it has a BOING BALL, the links work and tehre's no sodding "flash media" hat takes 5 minutes to load every time you visit the home page. I've certainly seen a LOT worse.
Mind you, I still think lava lamps are cool so what do I know. |
