From their latest S-File: "For quite some time now we've been working on our next original game. I can't tell you much about it, because it's very far from being finished. As you can imagine, being a clickBOOM game, it is going to be something special. It will be available for Amiga/PC/Mac and possibly consoles."

I'm pretty sure this is the remastered Defender of the Crown, that's been mentioned a couple of times.

But that would be silly, since that port is already mentioned in the same letter. No, they seem to imply something else--but why the mystery?

I also seem to recall they referred to it as being an original clickBOOM game...so
since Defender of the Crown was developed by Cinemaware, I doubt that's it. Apart
from that, I'd just like to say this must be the vaguest game announcement EVER.
"We have a new game in development. We can't tell you anything about it".

Still, I look forward to more info. Fingers crossed that it is a strategy game. :-)

Speaking of strategy games, I think this new game is the long awaited sequel do Napalm, called "EuroBurn".

I wonder if Clickboom finally paid their programmers for the work they did writing Quake and Napalm, or if they sneakily hired on new employees (who won't get paid by ClickBoom when the project is completed either).

Hmmm... Do people actually like Napalm? I tried out the demo, and although it's a pretty game, I thought the game play kinda sucked. I couldn't figure out how to build new units in the demo. Did miss something there? I'd love to give it another go but I was not too impressed by the game.
T-Zero on the other hand was kinda neat.

yes... u missed something from the game if u didnt know how to build buildings and stuff... In my opinion it is like other rts-games. It lacks originality, allthought the explosions were the best compared to other rts-games. Next time u play the demo, read the README.TXT and u should know how to build some soldiers and other shit. :O

No--why would it be that? They say they are releasing it for PC/Mac/Amiga, so it can't be Quake.

i've been waiting forever for n2 euroburn which never showed up as neither have anything from clickboom, including answers to couple of mails i sent them hundreds of moons ago. that has given me the impression clickboom has prettymuch abandoned the amiga market quietly since whatever problems they had with nightlong.
im also finding something strange about the reasons for the mockups with the nigtlong cd duplication... the way clickboom are acting as saints and as if they were on somekind of god given mission for amigans, against the cd duplication company which is rotten evil...
i bet clickboom F#%& it up and sent them originally faulty master discs and are now blaming the duplication company for the problems with the game, however i don't really know so i should keep my mouth shut.
anyway im interested to see if something will come out from them, and if it's good enough i might even start supporting them again. but first they do have to win my trust back on them.

I really hope it is Napalm2: Euroburn...been waiting that for ages :/
Napalm really rocked, I think it's best multiplayer RTS I've ever played (damn I want that tcp/ip option, but have to stick with serial). At least I haven't used as much time for any other RTS either on Amiga or PC. I just love the "Napalm's way" to play...and been wishing for sequel with some new features and improvements.

I remember being told about someones idea of "virtual serial ports" to make all games that used serial I/O drivers on the Amiga use VSPs over TCP. The theory was that you could create a device and use its icon information to set the URL of the remote host you wanted a VSP connection to.
Neat idea, Ive not seen anything since and this was in about '94.
Dave.

I think it's god Ida to wait until the AmigaOS4.0 comes,
so they don't get a lot of angry costumes
complaining about not supporting OS4.0,

Um, if you couldn't figure out how to build units, no wonder you
didn't like it. :) Building units is kind of essential to having any
fun. :) :)
Anyway, yes, people like Napalm, including me. In fact I liked it a
little better than Warcraft, Warcraft II, Exodus: The Last War and
Earth 2140, though none of those are bad RTS games. Only thing I
didn't like about Napalm is that I could never get the CD music to
play properly in the game.

Hmm, seems that they've updated that section. I'm not able to get into it.
What does the game look like?

YES!!! Napalm is brilliant! If you have fast gfx-card then it's even better :) Napalm in 640x480 looks great too. I have almost completed the game when playing as a human, only the last mission has been too damn hard for me. I have some ideas what i should do so I would pass that level though. I think Napalm is one of the best RTS-games I have ever played.

In reply to Comment 6 (Mike Veroukis):
Napalm is a fairly good game. Unfortunately, it has a lot of flaws as well. For
example the allied AI is about as low as it gets, the mission briefings are silly,
and there are some graphical niggles. But overall, in spite of all its flaws,
Napalm is still a good game. Which is exactly why N2 should be a treat. I just
hope, if it really is N2 they're talking about, that they haven't thrown away the
long list of "things to be improved" I sent them.

Yeah, Napalm has great gfx and music (which doesn't play during the game), but the rest is pretty bad. Bad interface, too slow with 68060/66+Pixel64 in 640x480, too fast in 320x240... Bah :-(

Napalm was way too slow with cv3d in zorro2 (had to play with 480x360 resolution), but now with Voodoo3 it flies on 640x512 resolution! :) With Zorro3 cards it's quite fast too.
About the Z...I personally think, that they should have dumped that project in first place...who wants yeaaars old RTS-game...and wasn't the sources x86 asm too..waste of time i think.
