After touring the US for two weeks, I'm now safely back home. And I must say at first sight I'm pleasantly surprised: little abuse, lots of postings and discussions, 175,000 pageviews in just two weeks... heck, even The Register linked to ANN :) Now, jetlag, St. Patrick's Day, a pretty drastic change at work and the last-week-of-March trip to Lanzarote may still keep me occupied for a while, but I will definitely try to be around more often again. And who knows, some day I might even announce site and script updates again, instead of just rambling about unrelated stuff :)

Brecht,
I think you don't know what abuse is:
Abuse are the regular post we get about things that have nothing to do with Amiga NEWS, provocative stuff, etc
This is exactely what you did.
So please stop here.
The first week Christian was gone was bad and I had to delete several posts.
Last week was pretty good.

Can you disable having unmoderated posts on the front page now Christian?
I feel that ANN would greatly improve if the non-news was not so prominent. It only causes flaming.
Graham

Hey what a great idea Graham! It's not censorship if you can't even post it where it can be seen?

In reply to Comment 11 (dammy):
It will still be available on the unmoderated section, as it used to be configured a while ago. Moderated news on front-page, unmoderated news a click away.
Hardly censorship.

Obviously I was talking about you abusing your power as a moderator.

Because I do not help your x86 campaign ?
You posted a link on bench that is highly optimized for x86 and not at all for PPC.
Then your first comment started with something like "This should start the x86 / PPC war"
Do you want that I post every single PPC bench that crushes the x86 ?
