As someone who panned Solitaire on AmiOpen a few months ago, imagine my surprise to discover who John Harris was. While I doubt he's reading here, I do have to give a small "doh!"
While I still think Solitaire is pretty garish, its since been put into perspective that these are basically technology demos (IIRC, Gobbler was the first to be revealed as an Ami2D app, and I have to assume Solitaire always was, or was a quick'n'obvious hack that was easily ported.)... I could whine about a PR failure of some sort, but the DE is already crawling out of those woods, and is showing (Payback) what it can really do. [Knowing who Mr. Harris is, I'd love to see what he could really do, as well... it's been a while since the last arcade classic was released. (Has there been a really 'new' 2D paradigm since Tetris?)]
While I'm at it- did Hyperion take over the infamous April Fools announcement this year, or did we just get all those a few days early, with the Mediaterminal and AmigaOnePointFive releases?

This report seems to be done in the style of those "outside scoop" columns in the Onion.
