OpenAG port CVS1.1r2 : Comment 1 of 22ANN.lu

This is great! Thanks for making the effort!
Couple of little problems that might a few people.
1)You need v48 of ixemul and ixnet libraries. These aren't in the
archive on aminet.
You can get them from:
ftp://ftp.geekgadgets.org/pub/geekgadgets/amiga/m68k/snapshots/current/bin/ixemul-48.0-bin.tgz
Once you get the file, run it through Unarc. Then run the resulting
file through unarc again. Go to the sys/libs directory created and
copy the ixemul and ixnet libraries for your processor to ram:, rename
them to ixemul.library and ixnet.library and copy them both to libs:
2)At the moment you can't set the download directory properly. All the
files you download end up in the temp directory inside the agsat
directory, so make sure you've got a few meg spare on the partition
where you put agsat.
Hope this helps...

There is a version 48.0 of ixemul.library on Aminet, actually. I needed it to install Heretic 2, if I remember right.

In reply to Comment 2 (Jon):
yeah, i downloaded that, but when i unpacked the archive the .library
files weren't there....
don't know whether it's a faulty archive or a problem with unarc, but
in any case i ended up getting it elsewhere

In reply to Comment 13 (Jon):
It's a port of an Audo Galaxy Satellite. In other words
it's a Satellite for Audio Galaxy that has been ported
to the Amiga. Other platforms have had satellites for
a long time, but we on the Amiga have been missing
out on Audio Galaxy for a long time.

resumes should work,
if the resume dont work it mean that either the file is locked either the mp3 is not exactly the same (different lenght or quality), then it download from start

It's similar to Napster, but without the legal problems that faced Napster. With AudioGalaxy, users are responsible for their own actions, since there is no central server. Thus there is no need for the impossible task of filtering out every file that might concievably break copyright.

Fantastic!
yet again more good news. Hopefully there'll be some other people
who add nice AmigaOS specific stuff to this... GUIs etc.
at least theres another sign that AmigaOS 4.x will be able to run
all the modern Net stuff :-)

I followed the instructions in the doc.txt file.
I ran the ag script but it could not find the "amisat" executable because it was in the amisat/shares/ directory by default?!
I didn't see anybody else mention this mix up on here so far.

In reply to Comment 20 (Budda):
Just run the amisat executable directly, don't worry about the shell script.
It seems to work well. It even works with my 'no phone bills' port-blocking ISP account (Napster didn't) so I guess AG uses HTTP or similar for transfers!
