Well - I ordered the on-line download, but can't seem to find the link to download it. Says something about a download link when you log in - I can't find it. Anyone know any better?

yeehaa, finally I can rush out and buy this wonderfull next-gen amiga product I have been waiting, and what AI have been creating for way over 2 years now!
I'm gonna play planetzed untill my eyes will pop out, and once they're gone I'll show it to my friends so that their xbox numbed eyes could fall out too.
And after that we could be retro and pop xenon2megablast to my old a500 and laugh at it as it's so dated when compared to planet... Eh, UH, but wait a minute... They look the same with the only difference being the other one being 10 years newer release than the other ;/
Aargh sorry guys, I couldn't help my sarcasm ;)

In reply to Comment 7 (cOrpse):
yeah the payback DE version is really kwl, and is technically most advanced and best looking game on ANY pda system I have seen yet. (And I'm not just saying that cause payback happened to have gfx made mostly by me) I'm saying it cause it's the truth. James has done incredibly good job and commitment with his game and therefore deserves to be succesfull on pda's. Here's hoping that someday that will happen and maybe we will see a sequel to payback.
Anyway my point is that even there is a version of payback on the works for DE, there's a need for a small miracle to get that running on a pda. There's the memory restrictions, lack of hw acceleration etc... You must remember that at the moment payback DE runs on a pc with intent/de installed and enough megaherz and memory to run a DE version of quake3 arena. It's going to be a whole different ballgame to squeeze all that into a "matchbox" so to speak.
Sadly planet zed represents the cream of the crop of amiga anywhere technology, and that's how it's going to stay for a long time...
However I would like to point out that even my comment may sound like I would think planet zed is a crap/badly made game, is NOT my opinion at all. I think it deserves to be the cream of the crop DE game because it's very good considering ontop of which it's running on. It's not zeoneo's fault that the DE doesen't offer more at the present.
I just couldn't help the irony when reading the AI announcement of amiga anywhere gamepack, where AI are touting like it would be something from the future, when in reality it's something that we had in 1987 with our a500's.
What makes it even more ironic is that an a500 cannot technically even be compared with a modern pda. A pda has more memory, more processing power etc. One could easily think you could achieve better than remake's of oldies goldies from 1980's. I'm hoping that fathammer's technology wont leave DE/3d into it's shadow by tomorrow. These guys are serious coders and should be reckoned with. The competition is out there and is getting harder by day, I just hope whatever AI are up to, they will do it right.
Oh crap! It seems I can't type a single comment without turning it into a lecture. Sorry about that :( I'm trying to learn how to say things in a couple of words.

I noticed that one of the requirements to run these games in addition to PocketPC is a strong arm or mips processor. Is Pocket PC only available for these processors? or is it some restriction of DE.
Also...Hey Amiga inc, how about some applications besides games. To get the DE moving we need some kind of application that will be usefull on the desktop and then can be used in its full form on a PDA. Same program running using the same data. Tarket salespeople, students, etc.

In reply to Comment 9 (Stynki):
head to http://www.fathammer.com/ for more information of what the DE games are up against.
It also is worth noting that the founders of remedy entertainment and madonion.com are behind fathammer, so this is truly a scary adversary for AI and if you ask me Im afraid AI doesen't stand a chance when looking back at the history of accomplishments of amiga inc. (when compared to the guys at remedy&madonion)
The good news is that fathammer are only aiming for games and 3d, so if/when DE gets more applications instead of games AI can have their own niche of that market.

oh yeah, I also forgot to mention that RJ Mical is the chief architect at fathammer.
Funny how history is reversed... The ppl who made amiga are now competing with it. Bill&Fleecy, who are the guys you should hire to orchestrate the future of amiga OS's? Let's see less of ex microsoft pencil neck hirings and more ppl like RJ, DaveH etc. Shall we?
Don't get me wrong I love the work Hyperion are doing, but they are a subcontractor and don't at least for now have no contracts made for post os4.0 development.

In reply to Comment 12 (gz):
Hyperion is not a "subcontractor" but a licensee of AmigaOS.
As such, our rights extend far beyond the rights of a subcontractor including but not limited to driving the development of OS 4.x if Amiga doesn't do it or isn't interested in doing it.

In reply to Comment 13 (Ben Hermans/Hyperion):
Ok, I'm sorry for using the term subcontractor. But Im not that good in english and I didn't have any other words in mind at the time of writing which could show my point of view better. Anyway, if we put legalities aside I think my point can be understood from the post.
