It's 2d graphic, math & intuition benchmark...
Full system-friendly, works fine on all Amigas,
Voodoo3, Amithlon etc. |

Posted by Matt Parsons on 23-Apr-2002 13:45 GMT | could we have the source code to include with AROS? or at least try with AROS? Mabe the author would prefer to compile it for a few versions of AROS himself? |

|
AmiGOD 2 coming soon! : Comment 10 of 17 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Matt Parsons on 23-Apr-2002 20:40 GMT | In reply to Comment 9 (kjetil): no, that it would be nice to have a standard benchmark across the AmigaOS compatible range of platforms...
The PPC Vs PC argument is pointless, especially where AROS is concerned as it can run on both... |

I am working on this. It currently is working under WarpOS and Warp3d4.2 and is compatible with Voodoo3, Virge and Permedia2. Probably a couple of months from a public beta. Should work on OS4 also but since I dont know anything about what Ami3D will be like I cant say for sure. |

Posted by Rimmerz on 24-Apr-2002 04:19 GMT | A benchmark based on the amazing demo "Planet Potion" or some other high end PPC 3D demo would be really cool!!
And a 68k benchmark from the "Max Payne" guys who won Assembly with their supermegakiller demo!! (cant remember the name right now but there was ALOT of realtime raytracing and stuff) |

Posted by bsaicbsd on 24-Apr-2002 06:15 GMT | In reply to Comment 10 (Matt Parsons): Its not as good as the machince it was made for thereby losing alot of standard functionality that the AMiga has, that lineal based machinces dont have,(mac, eyetech, pegasos,(macclones),and pcs). 8 years ago we wouldn't have this conversation we would all agree. Since pc and macs have gotten faster cpus/gpus they are now better. This logic is so illogical its not even funny. speed doesnt make a great system and neither does the os by itself. The AMIGA hardware design is the best so far. What makes a great system is the HArdware and the Os. The Amiga has them both. Sure it needs to improve on the hardware side but going the way of a maclone is wrong . As long as Eyetech and the rest took to make a maclone I could have solved it and have something out in 4 weeks time. |

Posted by Lukas Stehlik on 24-Apr-2002 06:41 GMT | In reply to Comment 16 (bsaicbsd): Oh :o( And what I should to do now?
My A4k system is sold, because I have 10000Kc (330 EUR) debt to my friend.
I gave him my Amiga, dept was annuled and he gave me also some money.
I have now money for Pegasos board without depts, but some other
hardware like graphics card, monitor, tower, memory & CD-rom / DVD
costs a lot of money too :o( But I thought, that it will be better
way, because it's new Amiga.
I know - my english is bad, sorry. |
