Looks nice, and as Homer Simpson said while watching twin peaks: "I have no idea what's goin' on". Any translators?

they say that the first screens look alot like the old OS, but that the look will most definitely change in the final release version. They also mention the AmigaOne, and that they are eagerly awaiting more screenshots as development of the new os advances. They don't give any technical details as to features and so on, saying nothing is yet known about that.
Ofcourse one can not expect them to read each and every amiga website to get information on the internals of the OS. Amiga/Hyperion should put up some centralised source of information for journalists that are aparently willing to write articles about them.

Translation:
"
First pictures of AmigaOS
The screenshots of the new AmigaOSOS 4.0, have arrived. Software-compagny Hyperion is responsible for the Operating System made for the new Amiga-plaform, AmigaOne.
The images give an impression of the new Operating system but, according to the people behind it, one should not draw any conclusion based on these screenshots about the final appearance. The screenshots show a desktop with windows and semi transparant pulldown-menu's.
The first impression is that the new operating system shows much resemblance with the old AmigaOS. Nothing is known about new features. The near future will bring more new, more reveiling, screenshots.
OS 4.0 should become the Operating System of Amiga's new computer, de AmigaOne. This computer has reached the pre-production fase.
"
So nothing exciting and wrongly informed :-)
We KNOW something about new features and the AmigaONE is ready so it's ready for production.

It's about spreading the word Ladies & Gentlemen, and any NON Amiga News site posting anything about the new OS or hardware, is positive news !!

You KNOW something? I think you've been reading this 'News' site too much. Amiga Inc, Eyetech and Hyperion have ANNOUNCED a lot of things about their products, but as you will have noticed, most of those things get changed, swapped around or just outright cancelled. A site like that won't report this rubbish because if it did a million clowns would be sending them PR "We're building a supercomputer from old washing machines" "I've invented a revolutionary OS that increases performance by 7800%" etc.
Because all three members of this alliance/ conspiracy/ call it what you will are private companies they are under no obligation to speak the truth about their products unless/ until they start advertising them for sale to the general public.
Do you think Eyetech really believed last summer that their unfinished product would ship in September even though the OS 4 development was cancelled and they themselves had ceased work on AmigaOne weeks ago? Or do you think it more likely that keeping users interested was more important than telling the ugly truth ?
If Eyetech were a public company their obligation to shareholders would require them to admit that they were in deep trouble, and why, unless they could resolve the situation very quickly. Instead they stalled for three months, pretending that everything was OK when in fact the future was bleak.
Similarly although Amiga's dire financial situation has forced them to surrender their non-AmigaDE projects to outsiders their irregular announcements about the AmigaOne project never fail to be positive. With no concrete knowledge AInc announced that it would be on sale "soon" or "very soon" many times. Even when AInc knew that they had effectively discontinued OS 4 and did not yet know if it had a future at all they continued to announce prospective release dates not just for OS 4.0 but also 4.2 and 5.0, products which still DO NOT EXIST!
