I liked this:
"Normally a $70 value, this download version only costs $29.95"...
$70 for 4 C64-alike games?

Heh... C64 got 16 colors, not 16bit colors...
(and you should remember that those games are really not for desktops...)

Users comment stolen from AA site:
"I've purchased and downloaded the AmigaWhere Entertainment Pack #1. Planet Zed is awesome running on my iPaq! I was surprised with the nice soundtracks and special effects (movies and such) built into the game and only a 7 Meg total install for 4 games! Anyone else got the games up & running as well? "
AmigaWhere sounds nice. ;)

Millions of people had a lot of fun playing games like that ten years
ago. Now they can be played on the move, by commuters, or at odd
moments (hours?) by bored office workers. They will be just as much
fun now as then.
Provided the tech works - and it seems it does - there's no reason why
these shouldn't be a big success.
I think Payback will sell very well when it comes out.
The next big step forward will be using fuel cells instead of
batteries in PDAs/phones/cameras.

now officegeeks play them. Somehow its not geeky anymore.
It cool, its professional, its fresh!

@Don Cox
Give this man a beer someone!! Mr Cox you are a smart individual and you have been following
a very, very cool technology.
Fuel cell technology is going to rock the world! Like the AmigaNG it has had a delayed release
(not nearly as bad as the Amiga). but the technology there is mind boggling.
Renewable h20 power generator for your house or car anyone?

Yep. Fuel Cells Rule. :)
I personally plan to invest some money there relatively soon...
And then, there's GM's Autonomy:

All very good stuff.

Would never had guessed to see the word "Amiga" written on Microsoft's website a couple of years ago. Boy.. times really _have_ changed ;)
Best of luck anyway... any income and profit for Amiga is far better than flop... and we know MS knows how to sale. They have this weird OS being sold.. cant put my finger on it.. Doors, Ceiling, Floor .. something like that.

Where can I see the reviews/comments? And why doesn't Amiga have a counter of how many sold units?

Eg. Payback sure is not C64-like game :P AmigaDE/AmigaAnywhere version of Payback seems to be even better than AmigaOS-version. And don't forget that there will be eg. 3d acceleration for AmigaAnywhere. Have you seen C64 with 3D hardware acceleration ? :) I think it's stupid to say "Amigaanywhere games are like C64 games" It is not ready YET, it does not have 3D acceleration etc YET. But just wait a bit and it will.

C64 games rule! C64 with 3D acceleration now I'd like to see that.
BTW good work Amiga, but beware of MS's intentions.

Yeah - THIS must bring TOWERING RAGE (and denial) to the crowd of Amiga-Denying MSSlaves on http://arstechnica.infopop.net
They will break into a chorus of "Amiga is dead ... let it die", and hope that their words will have a VOODOO effect to clean up MS' Site of that heresy!!!

Are serious or are you joking?
In order to convert fuel into electricity you need a generator that ignites the fuel and turns a turbine, right?
How is this going to happen on something as small as a PDA?

Nevermind. I read up on it. The only problem that I can see is that your PDA will be leaking water!

Yeah, not to mention the upcoming AmigaWho, which comes in a tall blue box with a lamp on top, and is bundled with a nice little robot, AmigaK9! :-)
It might even get there... before it left! :-D
(Sorry, just couldn't resist! :^)

Your very correct. AmigaDE is technology licenced from Tao that runs on PDA's. Amiga Inc's job is to get it ready to make PC games on it. Like Quake, Doom. When you can play games like Doom and Quake (only better for course) on your PC and possibly take it out and play it on your Amiga. Thats gonna be cool. Mobile devices are also getting very fast now, so you'll prolly be able to play these games on STB's or PDA's.
Thats a long way off. But it will be done, and it send Amiga Inc to the big time!

Maybe when we can all tap our septic tanks for free methane- but they already say geeks have an aroma to them. ;)
I hate to give away good ideas, but the real 'next step' IMHO will be an inductive charging standard to be shared amongst electronic gadgetry. At first, you'll buy a $99 mat to set on your end table, which you can chuck all your devices on at the end of the day. Later, desks and cubicles might come with the technology built in, as might airline tray tables and similar, once the issues with magnetic navigation are worked around. Ideally, the system would consist of many smallish inductive loops that can be switched on/off based on detection of a proper device, such that you won't wake up to find your keys have melted a hole through the desk- not too hard to arrange with today's cheap semiconductors.
The power for these systems could be generated through fuel cells or other efficient 'organic' technology, but there are reasons to prefer more 'solid state' methods of energy transfer.
My toothbrush already charges inductively; as devices' power needs decrease (MRAM/similar, OEL/LEP displays, smaller and smaller chip processes), things will look more and more attractive.
