Snip Snip Amiga.org : "Released to Amigart.com this is a short interview and by the sound of it, maybe the last before we see AmigaOS4 because it sounds like they havn't got far to go. Sounds like it's shaping up nicely. I don't doubt that Hyperion won't fail to deliver the product*, given their track record.

I always thought the csppc and bppc version would be the same , seems not.
Not a problem really , i just hope enough of the drivers etc are finished for the first release to make a good impression.
Question to Hyperion ;) , "can you insure bppc and mediator support ? i wanna buy a mediator for a better gfx card and sound and later a shark but i don't want it to back fire and be limited to os 3.9 , if its not going to be deffo i may just order an aONe asap :/"

Maybe this is a rather old interview? Here Ben talks about new screenshots
'in a few weeks', whereas he recently told us he had stuff to show 'in ten days'

I decided to hold off on any further screenshots in the immediate future.
The reason is that I also want to include shots of the new preferences editors for Intuition.
These are still in the works.

I second that. I spent a lot of money on my Mediator and all the PCI boards to stick in it and the promise of the SharkPPC to run OS4 was a big factor, so if OS4 wont support it there will be a lot of disappointed people...

Are the new prefs going to be reaction based ( like os3.9 ) , if so , not being nasty to H&P , is there any chance of making them look *right* ... the 3.9 ones were abit sloppy.
Another one .. Is reactions look being made to be more like the rest of the os , i would like it to be kind of a transparent feature having reaction there and reaction GUI's with progress meters are the worst :( on my system the end and iirc first point are not in line with the meter part if you know what i mean. other then the look reaction is pretty sound.
Oh another interesting idea .. If i buy os 4 for my bppc then buy an amigaONe is there going to be a rebate or something . Basically am i buying a licence or just a copy of the os ? not that i'd mind paying twice but i'm a skint student :)

I've managed to get a credit card enabled sibling to order it for me on loan even tho they don't think its a wise idea.
My hope is to step my upgrade path .. use my current ppc with a mediator and then replace the old ppc with a shark and put the a1200 board to rest ( if it doesn't RIP this week :( ) . Also i think the mediator could be used in backplain mode in one of those ickle funky cube cases :D
So anyone want a bvision , pcmcia network and paula .. oh can't take that off dang :P ... Need pci scsi card or ata 133 drivers for the mediator too ! :D

Well, if you buy two PC's you pay twice for Windows, no rebates, and the AmigaOS market is much smaller than the Windows market (see how M$ has decreased the price of the X-Box since it's not a monopoly?)
