Cool. I hope Elbox or Power (as their UK representative?) get slapped up so they come along this year.

When there is something new worth taking a peek at I'll start getting excited.
Until then I can only see the show as being a place for people running Amithlon to show off some old software, and people running their PS2 through a TV Card on the Amiga. Pointless. :o(

"What new developments ?"
How about the programs that are currently being developed, such as
Pagestream, Digital Almanac, SoundFX, HD-Rec, Audio Evolution,
ProStation Audio, FXScan, Mediapoint, YAM, IBrowse, etc etc.?
Why do people keep talking about "old" Amiga programs? If the latest
compile was this month, it's not an old program.

Why do I need to go to a show to look at some "new build" of YAM, or IBrowse (erm, where's this new build?). As for the others, they're nothing new, maybe an update, but nothing to get excited about.
Nice that a few things still get developed - but new applications are what people would be more interested in, IMO.

What new developments indeed?? My interest in classic Amiga h/w has died... I don't like the idea of bolting on some crippled hardware to an A1200 motherboard; then hoping everything will remain stable.
Even then, as far as i can remember last years show, there was no new hardware as such. Eyetch were flogging some spacewalker pc to run Amithlon on. Actually Amithlon was the biggest product there last year - and I bought a copy to tide me over until the A1G3SE release.

Yes I see your point. I hated my hacky A1200 with hundreds of bits stuck all over it rattling about inside the case, so I sold it and used the money to get an A4000. Now all my addons are in slots like God meant them to be, and its stable and never crashes.
Imagine if everyone just went out and bought Amithlon. What would become of the companies like Individual Computers, or Elbox, who are still trying to support the Amiga market with great new hardware? We should be supporting these companies, and running an emulator is not the way to do this. If everyone just bought Amithlon then these companies would die, and the Amiga itself would follow.

I'm running "an emulator" until Hyperion pull their finger out and release OS4 along with the A1 motherboard. It's 2002 and i don't see why I should waste money on fiddly add-ons which I cannot migrate to my new Amiga motherboard.
Amithlon was, as I started in my first comment about it, only a stop-gap until new hardware is released. At least now I can get on with using my Amiga software which I've bought!

I personally have no intention of ever returning to Amiga until Amiga Inc drop thier policy of cold shouldering Pegasos and attempting to stamp on MorphOS.

An Amithlon box networked to an AmigaOne would make a good setup. The
Envoy network program works extremely well.
