Oops, I must have messed up somehow.
It's fixed now (but wouldn't have been a problem in the first place if people embedded their links in valid HTML rather than requiring me to edit postings. /end of minor rant :)

Last time I tried that it didn't work anyway.

In reply to Comment 5 (Don Cox):
It depends on what browser you use, and how carefully you follow the instructions.
It never seems to work on AWeb because when you go to the preview page it changes all the <> to <> or something. Last time I used Voayger the link wrapped (never noticed) and that broke the link on ANN's display.
Also, ANN's parser doesn't accept lowercase HTML, which is valid HTML (so CK saying people posting in valid HTML would help isn't really true ;)

Do you have any screenshots using AmigaOS 4.0?
I would guess that many of us would like to see it.
Thanks.

Hi
The webmasters at Debian.Org plan to put the announcement of "Debian GNU Linux ports" to Amiga One PowerPC hardware. Unfortunately they cann't find the formal announcement. Where is the address of the announcement? Who port Debian GNU Linux to Amiga One?
T.I.A.

I always post with full email address (except when I'm too tired of typing it in and have already posted using full address in same thread). Shouldn't be difficult to find me, really.
I'm not reading the thread, I just got a link from Henning. Feel free to email me with questions, but flames should as always be directed to NIL: (or /dev/null, for those who are thusly inclined).

Guess who has 10, 100 AND 1000Mbit/s network cards in his Amiga1?
No, it's not Donald Duck ;-)
I actually have cards in all the PCI slots now. It works like a charm. And the Gigabit NIC is in the second PCI bus, shared with the AGP. Of course, I don't actually have an AGP card, so that doesn't prove much... Hmm... I need a new gfx card, grod darnit!

I don't think that there are many who have doubted the release date(?) of AmigaOne as much as the release date of Amiga OS4.

Wow.
Screenshots of Linux running on an anonymous box.
I am, like, SO impressed!
Showing screenshots of Linux proves what, exactly? Other than someone took some screenshots of Linux running on an anonymous box?
Absolutely nothing. Sure as hell doesn't prove anything with regard to AmigaOne nor AmigaOS4.0, that's for sure.
Jeez, I can't believe people are getting so excited over NOTHING.

Wow, an anonymous poster claiming I'm not running this on the Amiga1 board. Ok, I'll give you my address...
Company visiting address:
Thorøya
Sandefjord
Norway
The AmigaOne is sitting in my office running gigabit ethernet. If I DON'T hear anything from you about you visiting, I would advice you to shut the hell up. If you don't believe it when I say I'm running linux on the A1, then come here and see. Open invitation, really. Just email me so I know where to meet you, and when...
The ball is in your garden. Are you gonna break a window and blame me, or just pass it back like a gentleman?

Cool.
Shall I let you know where to send the flight tickets you'll be paying for?
You see, it is easy for anyone to put up some Linux screenshots and make any claim they want to. Even easier when they are "out of the way" so that physical verification by others is very difficult (note - this is NOT an atack on your country of residence by any means. It is merely a statement of fact).

If you where living in Oslo (the main city in Norway), Then I do not think by any chance, put you’re address up like that. How many live in Sandefjord and how many Norwegians stay at this site. I believe you’re firm is an Expo from now on, what is your firms name ?
--
I was just wondering, are you using an pre compiled kernel or have you cross compiled an kernel to run with AmigaOne how hard was it to make it work? Died you need to modify the kernel source code?
Is this the dev-AmigaOne the one with OpenBIOS.

And it is even far easier for idiots like you to claim that everyone is lying and do so being anonymous!
Don't you get it??? Why would anyone put there credability at stack for this?
Even you don't, since you are posting anonymous!
Sigh!

Stefan

Well there lives some folks in Norway, this Sandefjord is an tourist place , this may be the extra bonus make some one like me, taking the trip down there.
Good job you have just made many Norwegians happy, you made Ole-Egil state that he is having an open EXPO for any one how like to se it with there own eyes.
How ever his address is not complete, wonder way?

In reply to Comment 22 (kjetil):
Actually, it is. There aren't more than one place in Norway named Sandefjord that I know of, and there's only the one place in Sandefjord named Thorøya. And this is the only office building in this area. That's actually the contact info from our webpage (www.network-electronics.com). Just drive here or take a cab, wave a huge banner with "olegil for president" or something, I'll see you. I've got a view over the marina and most of the parking lot from my office.
You know, Hans-Joerg just told me this is the excact reason he pulled out of public news-sites and mailing lists. If I tell you it's working, you say I'm lying, cause there's no way it works. Or you tell me I'm incompetent, because everyone could do that. If I say something isn't working, then I'm incompetent for not making that work. There's no way for someone to actually WIN here, is there?
Well, get this:
I ain't posting another screen shot unless someone actually asks me to. If you people don't want screenshots, then don't ask for them. There's a bloody good reason why I didn't post this on ANN in the first place. I just knew I should have stayed off when the news traveled here.
