On Amiga Demoscene Archive, two PPC demos from polish group Mad Wizards were added (two demos released in 2002). So if you want to see what ppc demos is all about, check it out.

Yawn, true, but those do look rather nice. Is it possible to get larger screenshots, or do they run down in dirt-resolution for maximum speed?

I love demos, and I've seen a fair few on PC too. These demos graphically get about a 7.5/8 out of 10 in my opinion, as far as modern demos go.

I think it's going to be an interesting time for the sceners when the Amiga finally goes 100% PPC. 90% of the demos released even now are 68k only. And to abandon the "real" Amiga (meaning paula/aga/copper/blitter) would, to some, seem like we are abandoning our heritage.
I think we'll split into two factions - some will stay with the old Amiga hardware, and others (like the groups who are already making PPC demos such as MaWi, Potion, etc) will embrace this new technology.
Personally I'm in two minds. On one hand I love the Amiga chipset - I enjoy sitting in front of devpac coding the blitter and copper in 68k asm, and writing demos in 'C' using someone elses 3D API just doesn't have the same appeal - it's not "real" democoding like I remember it... But on the other hand, the new technology opens up new possibilities for the scene.

@Lando:
I agree (allthough i'm not a democoder, sadly). But i've seen and enjoyed so many 68k releases that i condiser this period fantastic as it is. So in my opinion, i would not mind seeing top groups like Mawi and Potion explore the AOne and OS4 if it ever appears!! It would definately be a reason for me to buy the new AOne (like it was for me to buy the 060 card)! Can't imagine what those Potion dudes could do with a bit of modern hardware :)

Hm, while we're talking about MS2k2 demos, anyone knows if a bugfixed Planet Potion is available ?

No. I believe that all MAWI-productions runs in 640x480x16 bit, using Warp3D.
At least those that can be found at A.D.A. You can also find some more of MAWI´s
demos at aminet, Cruel Karma Forms is still my favourite.

I can't see the majority of demoscene move on to 100% ppc just like that, sadly. Luckily, IF the 68k emulation is as good as they say theres no problem :)
Lets see who will make the first 100% ppc production ever, major res and props for the one who leads the way.
