I can't wait for the trolls to start turning this positive news into 'doom-and-disaster'.
Anyway, I think it's great news.

What news?
Error 404 - page doesn't exist. And there's no 'news and events' page listed on the MAI site.
Sounds suspiciously like a troll to me.

Hello,
There si something really strange, it seems that some people have access to this page and some others not. It's not a problem of cache have some people told me they flush their cache completely and it's still got a 404 error and they don't have the same http://www.mai.com/ main page and not also the same other pages.
I wonder if there is no a hack behind this ("mirror hack")...
So I think the best thing to do for now is to wait to see if in the next day the page become accessible to everyone or simply desappear because it was a hack...
Regards

Well I don't think there is anything strange. Maybe they just have
just a proxy-problem or something similar. Sometimes it takes sometime
before proxies update. It would not be first time when that happens in
the internet. Especially those ISP's which force you to use proxy
suck, you don't even nesessarily know there is a proxy through which
every webaccess goes.

The problem is the subject of speed and politics in general ,ah but a 1.67 ghz G4, thats not bad.
Of which we can have dual and you will be stuck with single G3 .

If you don't want to take my word for it, Email me and I can put you in contact with those responsible for the decision, I just can't guarantee they'll respond to you ;)
And as for a "G6" there are no plans whatsoever, not even theoretical or hypothetical, for a G6 cpu. I can tell you with certainty that no fabs have been scheduled for availability for a possible G5 either, at least not in the next years schedule, unless you think there's a "secret" fab somewhere that the channels don't schedule for ;)

I should also point out, that to be "G5" compatible, (which you can't be untill the spec is finished, and they actually decide to make them, which they haven't) you must support the RapidIO Interconnect Architecture, requiring a new chipset. Neithor the Pegasos or AmigaOne need apply.

Well, your close Kronos, but there is more to the A1-CE than the teron eval boards. Etehernet, usb, etc.. Recheck the specs a bit. It is NOT a teron board. Similar sure, but no way is it the same board. I thought everyone was aware of this. Apparently not. The A1-XE looks even better. It amazes me how some people continue to downplay the A1 for whatever reason or agenda they may have.

@Amitroll
Lets see, the A1 is a (slightly) modified/enhanced version of the TeronCX made
by MAI ( which doesn't fit in with Alan's older statements btw) + the dongle.
Thats why I sometimes called the A1 TeronCX_MK2.
Do you really the TeronCX that Alan plans to sell, will be the old "MK1" version?
Especially when the MK2 costs the same in production (I see no reason why not),
and having two (four) different boards would even mean higher costs.
If you buy an A1-G3 and a TeronCX at Eyetech, they will differ in exactly three
points, the name, the price and the dongle.

AAAAAAAAAAAArghhhhhhhhhh when will people start to learn to read !!
It's $3900 for 1 (in words ONE) board with full development-support !!
>6+ email us for quotation <- do you understand that ?
Also Alan plans to sell Terons too, do you really believe he could sell
them at that price ?
1. MAI builts the TeronCX(MK1)
2. Alan thinks "my saviour " ;)
3. Alan asks MAI "can you modify it for me ?"
4. MAI builts the A1 (TeronCX_MK2)
5. MAI/Alan have the idea to sell a non-Amiga version of that board named TeronCX.
>You afraid that Amiga might finally have good hardware
>along with the updated OS Hyperion is working on?
There is only one piece of HW that MIGHT interest me, and if and when
Hyperion decide to offer me their SW, I might buy that too.
But I hate it when people (Alan) wants us to believe that a duck isn't a
duck, but a swan ....
I don't know how good/bad the A1/Teron will be, both on HW and the BIOS,
as I won't buy one anyway, but I will insist in calling a duck a duck.
