The UGN invites YOU to join us at the AmiWest 2002 show. This year we will begin the broadcast at 11:00 AM PST (GMT -7) on Saturday the 27th and cover the show till it ends on Sunday the 28th at 4:00 PM PST. I have been in contact with Bill McEwen of Amiga, Inc and he will be available on Saturday for a live interview! The time has not been worked out but I promise to get that information to the UGN website as soon as it is available.

Like shows in the past the UGN will be using Shoutcast technology to deliver live audio to Amiga users round the world. To listen to the audio visit the AmiNet and grab a shoutcast compatible program. The UGN recommends the Mp3 player built in to OS 3.9 with BB2, for more information visit ugn.amiga.org. For the webcam images the UGN uses ImageFx from Novadesign, AmFTP from Vapor, and Miami from Nordic Global Inc. This show we are planning to have 4 camera's covering the show floor! Tune in and see more of AmiWest then ever before! To view the webcam you can use a browser or a webcam viewer from the Aminet, see ugn.amiga.org for more details.

Participating at AmiWest 2001 will be very special this year. Durning the broadcast we will have ICQ available as we have in the past AND I will connect my cell phone in to our broadcast system to allow direct phone in interviews with the guests! Since this is the first offical time we are using this technology the rules are simple, the caller assumes all costs incured during the call and we will NOT tolerate any personal attacks or profanity of any kind. This is a service for the Amiga Community to provide access directy to the people who are working hard to return the Amiga to what it once was and more, it should not be abused. The website will be updated soon with more information about calling in. When participating with ICQ we ask that you send us your real name and location so that we can give you credit for the question. For the Amiga the UGN recommends "STRICQ," it can be found on the Aminet or from ugn.amiga.org. To add the UGN to your ICQ friends list use the ICQ# 112800234, ICQ nick "UGN".
