This is an announcement from GGS-Data. In co-operation with other organizations and persons we will show two new computersystems in Göteborg (Gothenburg) the weekend of 21-22 September. Saturday 21 September

Here we will show the Pegasos computer for the first time here in Sweden and in Scandinavia.

And of course it's ECTS next weekend in London.
Not that this has anything to do with the Amiga...
I mean... it's only the biggest computer industry show in Europe with tens of thousands of visitors each of the three days including software developers, publishers, retailers... not the sort of thing that would interest an Amiga company.
No, they prefer to attend little amateur meetings that no-one's heard of and are held in the local village hall and attended by a couple of hundred people. God forbid anyone in the outside world should hear about the new Amiga products on the horizon....

I'm sure all the people who go to great efforts to put on these shows would be happy to read your comments.
Of course it would be great to get Amiga back into major tech shows but
a) How many people at such a show would really be interested in Amigas, especially when no-one has their products ready yet
b) How much would a booth cost (and travel, and not making any money at the show)? Probably enough to put a serious dent in the Amiga side of any company.

Sony didn't even bother going to ECTS last year (It's THAT good).
Get a sense of reality here, ATM no-one is interested in the A1/Peggy except those people who attend these "village hall" shows and a handful of PPC linux geeks. I'd rather see these companies spend thier budget on getting their products out there, than trying to preach to the braindead masses.

It might be a good idea to have the hardware shiped to the organisers two weeks before the show to garentee that the systems will be there. Too often has there been shipment delays and wotnot!!!

CeBit it not only computers, don't know if that other show is bigger if you only count computers, cebit is probably bigger if you count telecom and so on also.

Dunno. Maybe.
If it is then no doubt it's at the top of Amiga Inc's list of "Shows not to attend".
Don't wanna let those nasty outsiders hear anything about developments in our cosy little Amiga world.
