Posted by James Carroll on 27-Aug-2002 08:25 GMT | Their brain teaser game has nice graphics.
It would be nice if we saw some 3d driving games for DE though. In the style of gran turismo. |

Or F1GP2... |

Posted by Anonymous on 27-Aug-2002 11:22 GMT | Not only did they have DNS problems, but their web site has been corrupted too!
The February 24 entry used to say...
==========================================
Release-schedule 2002 (updated) 2002-02-24
We plan to release the following DE-titles within the coming five months.
- BrainTeaser March/April
- Kaliko Minigolf March/April
- Monster Madness April/May
- Nac Atac March
- Pirate's Puzzle April/June
==========================================
All the dates and times were lost by this terrible "accident", so now it looks as though Kaliko never planned to release five games in four months, but more like four games in twelve months. I'm sure Kaliko will want to put this right and tell everyone that they aren't being creative with history...

Since this seems like a *big* "concern" to you, the date has been changed to reflect the new update.
Good thing you exposed this big conspiracy. |

Kaliko.net back online again : Comment 7 of 13 | ANN.lu |
Posted by JohanR on 27-Aug-2002 12:27 GMT | In reply to Comment 3 (Anonymous): You must understand that all members of Kaliko have full time occupations other than programming games, and the release dates are just preliminary! And since you didn't understand that, I might also have to spell it out that we also have girlfriends, friends and families that we occationally want to spend time with. So the conclusion is that all dates written on the page may change to reflect the current schedule, and no, we're not going to write you a ten page personal excuse every time we do so. |

Kaliko.net back online again : Comment 9 of 13 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Anonymous on 27-Aug-2002 13:37 GMT | In reply to Comment 8 (Anonymous): Well, it seems at least one person had trouble understanding what the problem is here. So let me spell it out:
When you write a web page with dated entries (like a diary), it is lying to change earlier entries so that they reflect what you think now. If you have something to say today, put today's date on it. Don't put last week's date or last year's date because that is lying, and lying is wrong. If you write something, don't put someone else's name on it, because that again is lying and lying is wrong.
Typographical mistakes are one thing, changing facts for your convenience is quite another. Take a look at Russian official histories if you want to see what this "correction" amounts to. Who *does* the hat belong to, huh? |

Posted by priest on 27-Aug-2002 13:44 GMT | In reply to Comment 9 (Anonymous): The kinderkarten is elsewhere.
And btw. their page say the information is "(updated) 2002-08-27", so amen to that. If someone can not read it, better look elsewhere. |

Kaliko.net back online again : Comment 12 of 13 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Anonymous on 27-Aug-2002 18:53 GMT | In reply to Comment 11 (priest): They've now corrected their web page. If you ask them they may or may not lie about THAT and say that it was always like that, frankly I don't give a damn.
From my POV this episode proves that calling people on their lies works. If that's a kindergarten tactic then I think we all need more pre-school kids and less naked emperors. |
